Hello friends, family, and anyone kind enough to click “open” and read this. It’s a sleepy Tuesday, following what was an even sleepier Monday. Trying to pick a creative direction for myself on Substack and would really appreciate your vote, thoughts… what YOU really think. I’ll keep thinking what I think—if you know me at all, you know that’s true—but since sharing a post is largely about connecting, I have a question and would really love your feedback.
As I mentioned in a recent post, my Onnarashii page needs some renovating because, thankfully, Literary Ladies is beautifully doing what I originally had in mind. Each post about female authors is fascinating and better researched than I will ever find the time to match at this stage of my life.
More importantly, other topic ideas cry out with their own clarion calls, which I’d like to consider exploring with spoken podcasts, videos, art, and writing. I’ll find a venue for each, but, I feel like I’m standing in a shopping mall of ideas and not sure where to begin.
Which of the following would YOU be interested in?
1. Thanks to Gods, Ghosts, & UFOS, I am considering indulging in a personal passion of writing about unusual dreams that have been a big part of my life since early childhood, the kind that stick around forever in my consciousness and help me make sense of things. Sharing back will be strongly encouraged.
2. Miracles. Someone said once, “l don’t believe in miracles, I rely upon them,” and that’s kind of a life motto for me, too, as they continually occur and fill me with wonder, faith, and trust. Again, reciprocal sharing will be strongly encouraged.
3. Write about and interview artists and authors I know personally, whose work I lov, believe in, and want you to know too!
4. All of the above: 1, 2, and 3?
5. None of the above? Have something you specifically expected to hear from me and haven’t?
Please comment! No right or wrong, here, and NO JUDGEMENT!
Of course, I’m continuing with the little online school I wrote about earlier—making more videos, teaching lessons, and right now, I’m working on obtaining a visa to visit Beijing the end of July for a week to meet and interact with our students—
—but it feels irrelevant to Substack, especially since are so many other fascinating things to explore!
How often does anyone beg you for your thoughts on anything? Maybe you’re life is vastly different from mine, so who knows, but anyway, I’D LOVE YOUR FEEDBACK!
